I have discovered yoga

Yoga. At first I thought it was a bit boring. It's slow and I felt like I had to run or do some with a higher paste to firm up my body. It felt sorta like doing yoga was a waste of time..cause I did not feel that tired after doing it.

But after doing yoga on my own for the last two weeks (3 times a week) I feel the difference.
I can't see it yet, but I can feel it. My body feels stronger and more flexible. I can tell I'm getting stronger since doing all the different moves are not so difficult anymore. My arms can hold me up longer in a straight plank.

As for now I am doing yoga at home. Either in the morning before school or at night before I go to relax on the sofa.

Doing yoga really does calm my body. Makes me feel focused.

Green Juice

I love love love Green Juice !!! I have a blender at home and try to make at least a smoothie a day. I do want to buy a juicer though. I have been wanting to buy one for a long time, cause then I can make veggie juices. Hmmm <3

I try to replace a meal with a smoothie a day. Ill have one for breakfast, or lunch or supper. It refills me with energy and the same "good feeling" I get after working out. I just feel so good after drinking one, plus they taste yummy and It's a good boost for your health.

This one is made out of one apple, some honey, a handful spinach, some water and some orange juice.
- if i had a juicer I would have put an orange in too instead of the orange juice, but I find that my blender don't go well with oranges.

November workout

Wow, It's november !
I went to Starbucks this morning and they have gotten their Christmas design on their cups. It feels more like Christmas already. I got the peppermint mocha which is my Christmas favorite.

Anyway I wanted to start a gym, but I have not gotten to it. Instead I have been using these videos from youtube to get some workout into my week.

I try to do them 3 times a week :

Warm up 

Get some Cardio 

Get Lean

I do all of them after each other. It's not to long, maybe 40-50 min together.
Also try more of their videos and mix it up for a fun workout.

Snack time :)

It's snack time ! Hmmm. Sometimes you are a little bit hungry, but you know you are going to eat dinner or a bigger meal later. What do you eat? A fruit is a good choice. Maybe two fruits? Maybe some nuts, maybe a small bowl of cereal and a fruit. Hahah you get the point 
 I decided to eat some baby carrots and dip them in chickpeas hummus. Hmmm.
Vitamins, fiber and protein all at once :) Good snack
I also ate a Larabar. They take some getting used too. After a while they are more like a treat. But at first when you eat them and your used to chocolate or candy as a treat u might think this is pretty tasteless and nasty, but you get used to it. Before you know it its Namnam Yumyum

Kiwi and apple makes the Doctor and pimples go away

I bought a lot of apples and kiwi last week. I have been eating one of each everyday. hmmmm. Feels good to eat something healthy.

I found out that apple actually reduce and fights to prevent pimples. That is just so great.
It also has a lot of fiber which is good for your tummy and it fights bad breath. How good is that. It also has calcium and iron.

Kiwi have all the vitamins you need in a day. Thats a good reason to eat one everyday. Don't you think? I love kiwi cause its sour and sweet at the same time.

All I do is homework lately. I have however had some time to look at cloths online.
I think I miss stores or something?

Is it just me or do you love cloths too?
I've been loving the preppy style lately. Soft blouses, blazers and shorts.

Peanut Butter Cups in minutes

This is really simple and quick. I just made some cause I was in some need of chocolate.
All you have to do is add 1,5 Tablespoon of peanut butter in a muffin cup ( I used paper here). Add a 1 Tablespoon of chocolate spread on top (non dairy). Put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes and eat right out of the freezer! Hmmm... so good :p

Coconut Oil Deodorant

I just found out that some people use coconut oil instead for deodorant. It is suppose to protect against odor. I think that is so neat. It smells amazing and when I rub it on it feels like a normal deodorant. Clean, natural and good for your skin.
I have decided to give it a two week try just to see if it works? Feel free to test it out yourself.

Vegan Diet

For 4 weeks I did not followed a vegan diet. When I first came to Canada for school it was super busy and I had to eat something. I did notice when I ate meat that my body felt heavier and I felt more tired. That is why I decided to go back to being vegan.

It is not always easy and I need to plan my meals in order for it to work. When that said I have found some places where they have vegan meals I can eat, without having to cook myself all the time.
Some are Vera Veggie burger non dairy. This taste like normal burger. Only I skip all the fat and no animal had to die for me. Also bean burrito with no dairy is also something I eat, when I don´t have the time to cook. Same goes for fried rice with tofu, sushi and veggie soup.

I don´t know if I am going to keep eating vegan forever but for now it´s what works best for my body.
On my heaviest I weighed 64 kg and now I weigh 54 - 55 kg. I did not intend to loose any weigh but it just    happened anyway. The other thing that has happened is that I don´t have any tummy problems anymore. Which is such a positive outcome. And I have not been sick as much.
Before I would get a cold every month and now I have not had that. I love it. I also bought a netttipot which helps me keep my nose breathable.

Perfect butt workout

This workout is by Pop Pilates. It is a super workout that I would do 3 times a week to get a nice effect. My butt is my problem area. After doing this for two weeks I can see a slight change and I like it.

So yeah.. Im the typical t-shirt, jeans and sneakers kinda girl. Blaaa. I know I can be very boring.
I have decided to give myself a fashion challenge. For one week I will not wear jeans.
For me that is going to be a hard cause jeans is my uniform and wardrobe main piece.

Hmmm.. I tried a lot of fake dairy and meat products :p

 I tried tofurky vegan hot dogs. good!! They had 3 different types. I like the green package :) Tasted better then normal hotdogs. The Red package was okay and someone told me the blue plain hotdog package was I did not try that one :p

 I tried thin tofurky vegan hamburger. They where super good! I have tried different vegan hamburger but this one has been the best one so far.
 I tried daiya cheese. Mozzarella style rocks :) I made tortilla only cheese pizza. and hummus.
 Picture of the magic cheese.... that actually is like real cheese not the other vegan crappy cheese I have tried before.
 Some Tomato, vegan meat, some kale and some daiya cheese and I have yummy quesadilla <3

 I made french toast this week <3 <3 I used Italian bread dipped it in a mix of almond milk with vanilla extract, some cinnamon, a tiny bit of salt and some flour. Hmmm taste AMAZING!!!!! I can not tell that this is not real French toast. And yeah top with maple syrup <3
 I got a glass straw :) No more plastic straws for me. Raspberry smoothie I love you. Miks : Handful strawberries, a handful raspberries, one frozen banana and a cup almond milk = Heaven

 I had to try making the Vegan Zombie Pizza Rolls. Here is the dough.
 My rolls. "They are student with out too much baking supplies style."

Milk - Drop It

Milk. Yes It gives you calcium, but it also takes this calcium away from your body.
Its like getting $1000 but then loosing $999. Cancer are shown to be highest in countries that consume the most dairy. In countries where dairy is not consumed breast cancer is almost nonexistent.

Dairy also help tumors grow. " Hey you.. you guys make tumors in the body right? Im dairy do you need any help building? "

Whole milk has 118 g calcium pr 100g, while almonds have 234. Soybeans 226.
Sesame seeds have 1,160! The last three examples give and does not steal from you after. How great is that ? :) Studies show that people that get calcium from animals suffer from bone loss (Osteoporosis) more then people who get calcium from plant options. Do to the fact that dairy steals.

There is a reason why mothers don't produce milk until their child is 18 years old. Our bodies only need it to grow when we are babies. Milk when we are older is not good for our system.

Dairy is full of fat to make the baby grow.. a grow person does not need all this extra fat.

If you really can't live without milk ; Learn how to make almond milk or if u can't have nuts try rice milk

Also you can find soy cheese at many stores or make cashew cheese urself if you can't live without.

Workout Goal week 36

I went jogging by the beach today. All together I jogged 2.3 miles ( 3.8 km ).
I could tell that I have not been jogging in the last few weeks. Sure I have worked out, but not jogged.
I love jogging I just have a major problem when it comes to getting myself outside to jog.

Anyway It felt so so great. Its like a weight have been lifted from my shoulders and I feel calm and confident. I have been missing that confident.

Goal :
- Jogg two times around 3 km
- Pop pilates two times
- Rollerskate

I admire strong and confident woman, and I would like to be one.

I made popsicle :) It is so so so good and the easiest thing to make. Just buy popsicle molds and fill them with fruit juice or vitamin water.

I made some from orange juice and some from apple juice. Here I am enjoying the weather and the pop :)

Matcha Frappe :)

Hmmm. I made Green Tea Frappe today. So so so good!!

You need :

2 T Matcha powder
5-6 Ice cubes or more depends on how thick you want the frappe
1 cup Almond milk
1 Banana
- Put everything in a blender and Hmmmmm... :p

My Workout week 34

Student Meal - When You Dont Have Much Time

I bought fake meat yesterday. I have never tried it before so I was pretty exited :p

All I did for this meal was heat the veggie meat for 10-15 minutes, add some tomato paste mixed with a small amount of ketchup. Feel free to add spices, but the meat I bought had some flavor to it :)
I then added the veggie meat on a whole wheat bagel. I pre heated the bagel in the stove while cooking the meat.

 Namnamnam!!!!!! Super tasty and good ! I´m going to buy this lots more.
 I could not help myself... I started eating before I remembered to take a picture
I also had non dairy chocolate milk. I love chocolate milk !!! This one has 30% calcium which is a nice excuse for me to drink it :)

If you want this to be more of a healthy meal add a side salad :)

Workout Gear

I bought this little thing. It counts your calories, shows the time you used on your workout and the distance.
I think it is so so so cute. It also has an alarm.. say if you want to workout for 20 minutes - it will tell you when your done.

This will be a good tool to help me stay motivated and to log my workout on

You put it in front of your hips so it can count your movement.

A rope = My Best Friend

I have had this rope for a couple of months and pretty much use it every day.

I leave it on the floor.. so every time I walk past I pick it up an start jumping (about 30 jumps). Sometimes 30 x 3 = 90

When I see it laying there I don't forget to use it !!!!

Workout Videos Online

We all want to have this body? I know I do.. 

So I have had a bit of a Summer Break :)

Anyway I have been really good at working out lately.
For the last two months I have worked out 4-5 times a week.
I have been doing yoga, swimming, jogging and rollerblading. It is sometimes hard to get out of bed in the morning, but I have really pushed myself.
